Sameeksha · Musculoskeletal self-assessment
Understand your joint pain, and know what to do next.
Sameeksha takes you through a structured check of your knee, lower back, shoulder or elbow using your phone and its camera. At the end you get a clear screening report and one recommended next step: exercises to start with, a clinician to see, or care you should get urgently.
Five guided steps, one joint at a time.
- About youAge, sex and which side hurts, so your results are compared with reference values for people like you.
- Your symptomsA questionnaire for the joint you chose. Anything you write in your own words is kept exactly as you wrote it.
- Safety screenQuestions that look for warning signs that need a doctor, which take priority over everything else.
- Movement testsShort camera-guided tests with demonstrations. They measure range, control and symmetry on your phone.
- Walking checkFor knee and lower back, a short recording of how you walk.
More than a single score.
One number can hide what matters. Sameeksha shows each finding separately, then brings them together into a clear recommendation.
Individual findings
Each observation has its own severity: normal, mild, moderate, significant or a safety indicator. The same issue showing up across several tests counts for more.
Three risk dimensions
Symptoms, movement and safety are each scored out of 100 and weighted for the joint you assessed. Walking matters for knees and backs but not for elbows. Skipping a test never counts as failing it.
One clear next step
A warning sign always overrides the scores and points you to medical care, however good everything else looks. Otherwise you get a practical plan, including home exercises where they're appropriate.
In your language, with help if you need it.
Six languages
The whole assessment, including the safety wording, is available in English, Hindi, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada.
Assisted mode
A family member or caregiver can hold the phone and answer for the person being assessed. The report records that the assessment was assisted.
Take it to your clinician
Export your report as a PDF, or share a structured file your clinician can read. A referral letter quotes your own words unchanged.
Video stays on your phone. Your results stay yours.
Movement tests are scored on your phone, and video and body landmarks are never uploaded. If you sign in, your assessments are backed up to your account, where only you can read them. Export everything as a ZIP at any time, or delete a single assessment or all of your data.
What you'll need
- Some uninterrupted time. You can skip any test you can't do.
- A clear space and somewhere to stand your phone
- Clothing that lets the camera see the joint being tested
- Stop any test that causes sharp or increasing pain
